Peggy Bott-Kirby/Vocal Chorus - (listed on the Texas Commission on the Arts/Arts In Education Artist Roster) when I was little I learned a hymn in choir at church. I sang it for my teacher and she sent me to the office with a note to sing it to them the note also said to turn on the microphone to the entire school! The sharing of music thru lifting voices is one of the most fun things I can imagine. Lisa Davis/Acting & Musical Theatre - has her B.A. in Theater from the University of Wisconsin. Lisa's work experience over the past 30 years has been wide and varied. She has done live improvisational comedy in Los Angeles, written and produced original children's theater, and performed one-woman cabaret shows in New York City, Chicago, Minneapolis, Palm Beach and Fort Worth. Her career reflects Lisa's 3 greatest passions: children, education, and creativity. Jo Dufo (Dufault) (listed on the Texas Commission on the Arts/Arts In Education Artist Roster) - Jo was born in Virginia and studied art at Holden School of Art, Radford University, and the Art Student's League in NYC; and has her B.S. in Art Education. She is a dynamic artist and teacher and has had experience overseeing large community projects. April Gaines/Tap - The first night I brought my new Tap shoes home, I playfully tucked them in beside my pillow so I could dream my childhood dreams. Tap dancing touches my soul and rekindles my spirit. Dancing at ARTS FIFTH AVENUE has been pleasure beyond measure. Glenna Janda/Art,Sculpture (Bi-Lingual) - received her BA from TCU and continued her studies at the University of the Americas, the Instituto Allende, and the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes while living in Mexico. Harris Kirby/Mandolin & Ukulele - As a wee lad, Harris listened to his older brother's band rehearse. He learned to play mandolin and guitar in his teens and began accompanying fiddle players in south Texas. Harris has played in county bands, garage bands and enjoys many types of music from folk to classical. Dale Luna/Tap - a long time ago Dale remembers dancing in his room to Broadway musical scores as a young man. He was especially inspired by the movie "Westside Story" and later in life, after focusing on his ballet studies, became a "gangleader" of Tap. Of course, there's no Tap in "Westside Story" but you know Dale! Eli Holly/Tap - a high school senior in the fine arts programs at Arlington Heights Highschool - teaches exciting rhythms and tecniques. We are proud to have him as a member of our Artists in Residence this year. Scott Mann/Guitar - first sang in a band called "Necroplis" in high school but didn't start studying guitar until he was 20!
