If you haven’t used a glow necklace or glow bracelet before, you’ve probably seen people wearing them at 4th of July firework party, nightclubs, kids’ birthday parties, etc. The standard size bracelet is 8 inch long and 5mm in diameter and a necklace is about 3 times in length of a bracelet, or 22 inch and 6mm in diameter.
Both glow necklace and bracelet are essentially long and thin glow sticks, and that’s why people sometimes also refer to them as glowstick necklace and glowstick bracelet. A glow necklace or glow bracelet is a transparent plastic tube containing isolated chemical substances. The mixing of the chemical substances generates light immediately through chemical reaction. The brightness and length of glowing depend on the quantity of the chemicals provided inside the sticks. So obviously the larger the sticks, the longer the glowing time they will be.
As glow necklace and bracelet are really thin, they are fragile and therefore should be handled with ease to avoid activating them accidentally. They should be kept in tubes until they are ready to be used.
A glow necklace and glow bracelet come in a symphony of colors to choose from including the most commonly seen green, yellow, red, blue, pink, purple & assorted as well as tri-colors such as green-yellow-pink, red-green-blue and red-white-blue patriotic colors. They usually come bulk packed with 50 pieces in a tube. Each piece comes with a connector for connecting two ends to make a glow loop to wear.
